Art is in the heart of Corning. Who takes an old hardware store with items from a hospital renovation and develops a vision for an art gallery with an artist-in-residence program? Visionaries in Corning, Iowa, — that’s who. You’ll find unique artwork from over 50 contributors from around the country. The artwork is always changing so come back often to see what is new. If you are looking for a gift, wanting a new piece of art to decorate your house, or want to sign up for a class, Corning Center for the Fine Arts has it all.
CCFA’s Artist-in-Residency program offers 3-month or longer sessions for emerging and established artists who seek time and space to complete projects or explore new works. Visitors can interact with the artists and their work throughout the day.
The last full weekend of July is the En Plein Air Festival with artists competing to create 2 outdoor paintings which will be judged by an En Plein Air expert and monetary awards presented.
