There’s a new addition at the Corning & Enarson Elementarys which will for sure catch your eye. These newly installed green bins are there for community members to drop off old clothing, shoes, and textiles which are not donatable to our local thrift shops. This is a win-win for our community! The donated items stay out of our landfills and provide a revenue source for the PTO.
Dropping off your items are easy to do. Place the following items in a large garbage bag: clothing to include pants, jeans, skirts, dresses, suits, shorts, shirts, tees, and tanks; footwear to include shoes, boots, heels, sneakers, sandals, socks, and tights; undergarments like bras, underwear, slips, camisoles; accessories such as hats, belts, ties, scarves, and headbands; even handbags, wallets, totes, luggage, backpacks, and briefcases are accepted; any linens such as towels, sheets, comforters, blankets, and tablecloths. Items can be dropped off anytime at either Enarson or Corning Elementarys in the green bins.
The PTO receives 7 cents for each pound of donated items. Thank you for doing your part to recycle and support our PTO!
