Loretta Brenton Executive Director

Loretta has six years of chamber experience in Modesto & Ceres, California as the event coordinator as well as the CEO. She worked for US Bank in the business & corporate banking offices in Portland, San Jose, Reno, Phoenix & Overland Park, Kansas for many years in various capacities. The past five years she has been living in Ocala, Florida (Horse Capital of the World) working in two western stores at the World Equestrian Center, then moved to Villisca in April 2024 full time, after purchasing her grandparents’ home (The Henry House on the Blvd) in Villisca in August of 2023.

Miss Brenton wanted to be here by the “lion’s share” of her family on both sides. She enjoys all the family activities, reunions & dinners. “I even learned how to can deer meat and make homemade noodles”, which have been some of the highlights since arrival from Florida. Although, Loretta was born and raised in Oregon on a small farm, both sides of her family were from Villisca, Corning, Red Oak & Clarinda and she spent many of her summers here growing up on the family farms & around Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri. Loretta also owned three beauty salons over the years and her mom (Very Henry Brenton – a long time Villisca resident) owned & operated the beauty salon in Villisca from 1939 to 1953.
