Adams Community Foundation Grant Recipients
The Adams Community Foundation celebrates their 36th year! Back in 1986, this dream became a reality and in 2005 with the Endow Iowa Program things really took off. Since that time the foundation has given close to $1.7 million dollars in grants, including those presented on Friday, June 24th. You can be a part of that endowment building by financially supporting the Foundation. It is the legacy of those gifts and of future gifts that creates a thriving foundation. If you would like to know more about how you can financially support the Adams Community Foundation, please see any of our board members or visit our Foundation page.
The Adams Community Foundation Board consists of Scott Akin, Leland Shipley, Gary Badgett, Becky Poen, Lisa Wilkinson, Fred Shearer, Jerry Peckham, Stephen Gruba, and Nancy Turner. Thank you to all of those organizations who submitted grant applications. They were all worthy projects and represented many hours of hard work by the citizens of our county. The non-profit organizations and governmental entities in our county put in countless hours making our community what it is today and what it will become in the future. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their service with their time, talent and treasure.
The Foundation awarded its first grants in 1988 and since then has given away grants totaling over 1.7 million dollars. These projects are impacting the lives of our citizens and will continue to do so for many years to come.
