The Adams Community Foundation announced the grant recipients during a Chamber Live on Friday, June 30 in the Lauvstad Visitor Center Lobby. Nancy Turner, President of the Adams Community Foundation, presented the grants stating, “this is the 37th year of the Adams Community Foundation. In 1986, this dream became a reality and in 2005 with the Endow Iowa Program, things really took off. Since that time the foundation has given close to $1.8 million dollars in grants, including those presented this morning.”
The Foundation Board Members are Scott Akin, Leland Shipley, Gary Badgett, Brenda Dunn, Lisa Wilkinson, Fred Shearer, Jerry Peckham, and Stephen Gruba. The Adams Community Foundation is part of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines. The board is grateful for the financial support given to the Foundation to fund projects within our community. The grants given today amount to almost $83,000.
You can be a part of endowment building by financially supporting the Foundation. It is the legacy of those gifts and of future gifts that creates a thriving foundation.
