The Adams Community Chamber of Commerce held their 63rd Annual Flight Breakfast on July 4, 2023. Volunteers served breakfast to 437 community patrons. The weather was perfect for planes and onlookers alike! There were 23 fly-ins, the Air Evac 164 Lifeteam helicopter from Clarinda, and our local Corning Fire Department.
This event is made possible by generous community volunteers and support! Thank you to Red Star Feeds who contributed the plates and utensil packets, Adams County Farm Bureau who donated cups, Corning Tire & Exhaust for providing the propane, SWV School District personnel who provided tables & chairs and also loaded and unloaded the grills, Corning Fire Department who is charged with cleaning out the hangar before the event while always attending as a precautionary safety measure, local pilots who kept all the pieces moving and allowed us to use their space, Corning Hy-Vee who always come through with everything needed to serve breakfast, and to the many volunteers who cooked, cleaned, and put it all away for next years’ Flight Breakfast.
Thank you to everyone who started the 4th of July with us at the 63rd Annual Flight Breakfast at the Corning Airport.
