Swing into Family Fun! Find a Quiet Retreat! Share a Picnic!

Carnac Family Skatepark 1400 John Ave, Corning
Located east behind the Adams Community Aquatic Center, it provides hours of fun. Named after Johnny Carson's 'Carnac the Magnificent' of The Tonight Show, Carson made a generous donation to assist the project for area youth. The park is owned by the City of Corning: 641-322-4230

Central Park 801 8th St, Corning
This downtown park is the scene of lunches, quiet walks, a memorial tribute to veterans and home to the Green Hills Produce Farmers' Market during summer months.The park is receiving a new pavillion with work continuing through this summer. The perimeter provides a circuit for walkers with a view of our Great American Main Street. The park is owned by the City of Corning: 641-322-4230

Corning Elementary School Playground 11th Street and Loomis Ave - Corning
A child's fantasy playground designed by Robert Leathers, and built by community volunteers, will help stimulate your child's motor skills, muscle development and imagination. It is handicapped accessible. Outdoor exercise equipment in view of the playground also provides a place for you to work out while you oversee your child's play. The park is owned by the Corning school system and is open to the public. 641-322-4020

Grove Play Park 800 10th St, Corning
Another place for your children to swing and play or have a picnic. The park is owned by the City of Corning. 641-322-4230

Lake Icaria Playgrounds, Corning
Climb, explore and slide into fun at one of 4 playgrounds at Lake Icaria.  Each of the campgrounds as well as the beach and picnic area offer hours of fun.  These playgrounds are owned and maintained by Lake Icaria. 641-322-4793

Memorial Rock Park 404 6th Street, Corning
Home to the local Freedom Rock, you can visit and pay tribute to our local veterans, have a picnic or sit and enjoy watching people go by.  Located directly north of the Alegent Creighton Health Wellness Center, you can take a break or cool down during your fitness routine.

Spring Lake Park 101 Quincy, Corning
A diverse recreational opportunity for everyone in the family; the park features two softball fields, a picnic area and a restored wildlife wetlands refuge owned by the Adams County Conservation Board. The softball fields are managed by the City of Corning. 641-322-4230

Play Park - Nodaway
As you travel to Nodaway, south of Hwy 34, between Corning and Red Oak, you might share a picnic with family or have a snack and let your children play and run around the park before continuing your journey. The park is owned by the City of Nodaway. 712-785-3261

Community Park - Prescott  
Spend time with your friends and family, plan a picnic, or let your children enjoy the play features. The park features a sand box in the old jailhouse, a children's playground, shelter house and picnic tables in its downtown. The park is owned by the City of Prescott. 641-335-2352

Prescott School Playground - Prescott  
Lots of variety to play or just "hang" around just south of the school buildings and west of the Prescott Track. The playground is owned by the school and available to the public outside of school hours. 641-335-2211
